Jackie graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2012, where he worked on an algorithm to predict lung cancer drug sensitivity. Currently, his PhD work in Nanyang Technological University is on reconstructing 3D structures of nano-scale proteins using 2D images. He has also published on a variety of topics, including game theory, biology, and chemistry.
Jackie also founded fundMyLife, an insurance technology startup. He is a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree for his work in fundMyLife. He also does consulting, focusing on data-centric problems like fraud detection and algorithm design. In his free time, he is a startup mentor for NEXT50 SG, and also a mentor for startup generator YSI SEA.
